At Aspects of Spain Ltd we are passionate about privacy, your privacy and ours!
If you are just visiting our website you can be assured we are not collecting any information about you, unless you contact us and/or book a holiday with us. Then we will only collect the bare minimum necessary to respond responsibly to your request and/or booking.
Here is a list of the data we collect and when and how we collect it.
Types of data we collect
The only cookies we use are Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information. See below..
We use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We use this service to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
If you sign up to our newsletter, or enquire about villa availability, we may from time to time (NEVER more than 10 times in a year) contact you by email with information about our latest offers, villas or just general information about our area.
To do this we need to collect and keep some personal information:
- Your email address
- Your name (usually just your first name, or first name and surname if you give us both)
We then use this information to let you have up to date information about our available villas, or what is going on in our areas of Spain.
We use a third-party provider, Constant Contact, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see Constant Contact’s privacy statement here.
You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer Penny Bateman
If you gave us your telephone number in your original enquiry we do keep this information but will only use it to contact you in exceptional circumstances such as to reply to your enquiry. We will only ever use your phone number for person to person calls. We will never use it to send you recorded publicity phone calls.
When you make a booking you give us certain personal information together with the information regarding the booking. We retain that information for six years following the end of the financial year in which you placed your order, in accordance with our legal obligation to keep records for tax purposes.
Access to your personal information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold (with the exception of the information we are required to retain by law for tax purposes). Email your request to our data protection Penny Bateman at info @aspectsofspain.co.uk
